Course information

The course begins with new features and functions in the Order to Cash area, and you’ll get some insights into Settlement Management and preliminary billing documents. You’ll then be introduced to some of the changes in the Plan to Product area, with process examples around production planning and the embedded Extended Warehouse Management and SAP S/4HANA Transport Management. The course concludes with a look at new functionality in Procure to Pay. And while we focus on procurement, it’s important to understand that the same technical platform is used in other processes too, so you can use what you’ve learned here in other areas as well.

Hands-On Exercises and Systems Access

The course focuses on demonstrating new innovations and changes compared to SAP ERP.

You can access the systems to take part in the course. However, you can experience the processes and configurations in SAP S/4HANA in a dedicated SAP CAL solution instance. We’ll provide details on how to access the system image and the costs at the beginning of the course.

SAP HANA Overview

SAP HANA is an in-memory platform for doing real-time analytics and for developing and deploying real-time applications. For on-premise deployment, SAP HANA comes either pre-installed on certified hardware provided by an SAP hardware partner (appliance delivery model) or must be installed on certified hardware by a certified administrator (tailored data center integration model).

However, SAP HANA is more than a database management system. It is also a comprehensive platform for the development and execution of native data-intensive applications that run efficiently in SAP HANA, taking advantage of its in-memory architecture and parallel execution capabilities.

We recommend using encrypted channels in all cases where your network isn't protected by other security measures against attacks such as eavesdropping, for example, when your network is accessed from public networks. Alternatively, use virtual private network (VPN) tunnels to transfer encrypted information.
